Power Tools for Home Projects
2nd Sunday of Every Other Month • 1:00–3:30 PM
Feeling intimidated by power tools? This beginner-friendly class will help you build confidence using common tools for home repairs and DIY projects.
You’ll receive instruction and hands-on practice with tools you might already own—or want to add to your home toolkit. We’ll cover what each tool does, how it works, and how to use it safely. Whether you rent or own your home, these skills can help you tackle projects around your space.
Tools you’ll practice with:
-
Circular saw
-
Jigsaw
-
Miter saw
-
Power drill
This class focuses on learning and practicing with the tools rather than completing a project. The same class is offered each month, so you only need to attend one session.
No experience or prerequisites are required. This is a standalone class. You can take it and our woodshop tools class in either order—neither is a prerequisite for the other.
All supplies, tools, and safety equipment are provided. Please wear closed-toe shoes, avoid jewelry, and wear clothing that won’t catch in moving tools.
